Depending on the season, guests can experience helping with farming in the rice fields and fields owned by “Ooashi no Sato” for free (actual costs for materials, etc. must be paid).

In our backyard, we fell oak trees for firewood for the winter using a chainsaw. Afterwards, the trees are cut into balls and turned into firewood with a wood chopper. It is also possible to chop firewood with an axe.
Let’s take a Goemon bath with the wood we chopped!

The fungus for nameko mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms will be planted on two trees per person. You will harvest the mushrooms the following autumn, and you can take home all the mushrooms on the tree with your name tag on it for free.

We will be harvesting nameko mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms that have grown on a mushroom tree set up in the mountain behind our hotel.
The nameko mushrooms are made into miso soup, and the shiitake mushrooms are seasoned with butter and salt and cooked like steak. The thick-meat shiitake mushrooms are the steak of Satoyama.
